Oh no, I didn’t miss the point, I just realize that the point of his posts and yours is total BS. to build a car with features designed specifically for track use, and then void the warranty on the car if you take it on the track, is FRAUD. Plain and simple. I’m suprised GM doesn’t void the warranty on every Z06 right out the door, after all, it comes with a factory installed dry sump, and the ONLY reason to have a dry sump is for track use, therefore the owner must be tracking his car.

BTW, just where is GM allowed to draw the line, can you answer that for me? Is driving the car like it’s on a racetrack while on the street covered?? What about driving the car on a racetrack, but driving it really slowly, does that void the warranty? Just how many G’s are we allowed to pull in this “track ready” car, 0.8? 0.9? 1.0? Maybe we aren’t allowed to use more than a certain % of the throttle without voiding the warranty? After all, using 100% of 505 HP motor is only acceptable in “racing” conditions, right?

Bah, in the end it doesn’t really matter. GM wouldn’t stand a chance if this went to court.

FYI… let me help out here, I sold this car brand new…

It now has racing seats with harnesses in it, has had several sets of brakes, more than 1set of tires and he blew the motor up while at Watkins Glen because he mis-shifted on the back straight at a Trackmasters advanced performance driving class. He also hit the wall on the passenger side because the car spun when all of his oil blew out of the 4 inch hole in the block. I didn’t read the thread but I’d bet that info was left out when he posted that on the corvette forum.

the guy screamed and yelled (swearing) at the GM people and our service people in the middle of our dealership.

Track driving = NOT covered under any circumstance
People who scream profanities = NOT covered under any circumstance
