guess what a tsx is? another honda. maybe you should take your own advice, and get something else. i’d die if i saw you in a 7. that would be like swapping from a pinto to a bentley.
I will have to say that BMW’s look sexy. But as far as interior lay out…I think Infinity is a bit better. Either way, both cars are excellent, don’t get me wrong. The Infinity’s aren’t as expensive to buy and maintain though, which is why I’d buy one of them instead (plus it’s a Nissan and I know Nissan’s for the most part).
You can’t say the M45 isn’t a sexy car. You know it is :).
I don’t know about automatic BMW’s since I’ve never driven an auto, but I’ve driven 5 or 6 stick shift ones and I HATE the clutch on BMW’s.
My car sees mild abuse daily from lights (1st or 2nd gear till redline and then speed limit) and a couple of 100+ WOT runs throughout the year. Never have any issues. I have 83k on my car and have been doing that to it since it had 26k.
if you hate the clutch in a bmw you must either be a weirdo, or don’t know how to drive. i have driven hundreds of different cars, and few compare to the feel of a bimmers clutch. my '93 3 series still had meat on its original clutch at 155k, and i was the forth owner. pretty sure my '92 5 series is also on its orginal clutch at 195k.
the interior? ever sit in an e36? or any older bmw? that is a purpose built cockpit, which aims everything towards the driver. the instruments are classy, and simple to read.
bmw’s are more than just good looking cars. they handle like they are on rails, very predictable, etc. they are reliable, and one of the most durable cars i’ve worked on.
yeah, some infiniti’s look okay, its a nissan afterall.
no one stakes any claim in bmw, other than bmw. they are they’re own company.
when infiniti has been around for as long as bmw, and has the reputation that they have, wether its as a daily driven street car, or track only driver, i will give them credit.
i’ll give you the benefit of the doubt, since i don’t think you’ve ever owned or worked on a bimmer.
I will never buy another car unless its brand new. I am not doing used or certified ever again. lol, learned my lesson the hard way 3 times, not going for a 4th :lol
+1 BMW’s have to be in my opinion one of the most comfortable cars Ive ever been in. They drive so silky smooth. Its a toss up Im either getting a 7 series or a M6, either or they are bad ass cars.
BMW’s ARE easy to work on. Definitely agree there. They were designed as if BMW expected you to be in there. The clutch feels like my dad’s Chevy 1500 clutch though on the ones I drove. As for interior, it’s too ‘old school’ and square for me. I like Acura TL/Infinity interiors cause they are round, etc. It’s a matter of taste. I do like the Audi/BMW control thing by the arm rest though. I wish Infinity would put theirs down there instead of on the dash.
Give Infinity time. You can’t expect them to rival BMW’s history right away. Infinity is relatively new, compared to BMW.
All in all, both cars are great. I like European and Japanese cars pretty equally. We know how I feel about the rest (hahaha).
i don’t know what was wrong with the clutch in the one you drove, but all mine are rock solid. shit, even my '83 533i’s clutch felt stiff, yet the engagement point was right where it should be.
